Privacy Policy

TIBBL is a personal DVR for over-the-air television. You supply the antenna and an HDHomeRun tuner; our recorder software runs on a computer you own, and our apps let you watch what it records from your phone, tablet, or TV.

This policy covers tibbl.tv, app.tibbl.tv, airdvr.com, app.airdvr.com, the TIBBL recorder software, and the TIBBL mobile and TV apps.

Account. Your email address. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored as a hash — we never see it.

Billing. Your plan, and the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe issues. Card numbers go to Stripe and never reach our servers.

Setup. Your five-digit ZIP code, used to find the broadcast lineup and time zone for your area, plus an optional display name.

Your recorder. Its address and port on your network, free disk space, recording count, software build, and when it last checked in. This is what lets your phone find your recorder instead of routing through us.

Your library. Titles, channels, times, and status for what you schedule and record, plus where you left off watching. This is an index. It is not the video.

Playback route. Whether a playback session was served over your own network or relayed through us. This is a count of routes. It carries no recording, channel, or title.

Support and feedback. Whatever you write to us, and your email address if you include it.

Your recordings. The recorder writes video to your own disk and streams it to your own devices. The cloud-upload path was removed from the product: the uploader is disabled in the recorder and the server endpoint that once accepted uploads now refuses them.

Analytics and tracking. No Google Analytics, Sentry, PostHog, Mixpanel, Segment, or any comparable SDK ships in any part of TIBBL.

Precise location. A ZIP code is enough to find your local channels, so that is all we ask for. TIBBL does not request device location.

Audio or video from your device. Nothing in TIBBL uses your microphone or your camera.

To run your account and subscription, show the right listings for where you live, connect your devices to your recorder, answer your support requests, keep the service secure, and meet our legal obligations.

If you are in the EU or the UK, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable service, and compliance with law.

Supabase. Database and authentication.

Railway. Hosting for our website and servers.

Stripe. Payments. Stripe handles card data under its own policy; we do not.

TVMedia and Schedules Direct. Channel listings. They receive a ZIP code to answer a lineup lookup. They do not receive your identity or your library.

TMDB. Artwork and descriptions, looked up by program title, not by user.

Apple and Google. App distribution, under their own store policies.

These are service providers acting on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The website and dashboard store a session so you stay signed in. The apps keep the equivalent token on the device. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Account data lives as long as your account does. Signing out clears the session stored on your device; access tokens are stateless and expire on their own within seven days. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on its own schedule.

Email us from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will do it within 30 days.

Deletion removes your account and everything attached to it — schedules, recording index, profiles, devices, saved library, channel data, and your subscription record. It cascades through our database and cannot be undone.

Recordings on your own disk belong to you. Deleting your account does not touch them, and you can delete them yourself at any time.

TIBBL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to some processing. Email us and we will act on it. We will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms.

If we change this policy, we will change the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you by email.
